The Ryder Cup places have been filled. Please click on Tab below to see if you made the Team.

Diarmuid Tracey will be taking over from Dave O'Brien for this years Event. All queries should go through Dick in the first instance.

Matches will have to be played within the given time frames that are set out by Dick.

Player of the Year points will be allocated as before.

The Handicap system will be 1st = 3, 2nd = 2 and 3rd = 1.

Donal Delaney was confirmed on Saturday as player of 2009 with a fantastic 343 points. Mark Mullaney took the spoils on the day with a excellent 45 points.

A fantastic day was had on Saturday for the first Colin Bradley Memorial Golf Classic. Water rock Golf Course was in top condition for all the Golfers. Danny MacDonald and Justin O Sullivan provided drinks for everyone on the 9th Green to keep everyone moving along. The standard was very high with a lot of scores coming in under par. The Winners in the end were Jamie Berry, Ken O Keeffe and Joe O Keeffe with a score of 58.6. Second place went to Gerry Cronin, Paul Hassett and Mark Mulaney with a score of 59.0. Third place went to Neil Crowley, Brenden Nott and Paul Murray with a score of 60.5.

The last of the local fixtures was played in a very well conditioned Muskerry on the 8th Aug, Dinny Harrington took the spoils with a very good 37 points. The player of the year has come down to two players Donal Delaney leads Joe o'Keeffe by 3 points with only the away trip left to count, should be interesting to see if any cracks appear on the day for either player.

The Frank McGuin is on in Mahon on the 19th Sept and once again will be a 3 ball scramble, The sheet is up in the Maple.

The Colin Bradley Memorial is booked for the 17th October in Waterrock and will be a 3 ball scramble.

The Society will be Capped at 40 members for the comming year until further notice.

The Draw for the Matchpaly has taken place and is up in the Maple, All games should try to be played outside of society times but in certain circumstances match's will be allowed during society times, i.e attempts have to be made to play the games

The First rounds have to be played by the end of March

To be noted for the forthcoming year ……

To Qualify for the Ryder Cup Team you will need to complete 3 full rounds from the first 5 Outings of 2009. Stableford scores should be recorded for all rounds

There will be NO Wild card entry for the Ryder Cup team this year

Prizes will take the format of 1st 2nd 3rd Best Front Nine, Best Back Nine

There will be a prize at the end of the year for the most improved golfer which will be decided by the Committee.

It Was decided that the Cost of entering a team for the Frank MCGuinn should rise to €120.00. This is due to the fact that we bearly broke even last year by the time prizes are bought for the event.

If your name is down for an outing and you can not make it please leave joe o'keeffe know or anyone on the committee as soon as you can. A lot of course’s charge for numbers booked and not numbers that turn up on the day.
